Safety features of your vehicle
僅 Always properly restrain your child in
the Child Restraint System.
僅 Do not use an infant carrier or a child
safety seat that "hooks" over a seat-
back, it may not provide adequate
protection in an accident.
僅 After an accident, have the system
checked by a professional workshop.
Kia recommends to visit an authorised
Kia dealer/service partner.
Selecting a Child Restraint Sys-
tem (CRS)
When selecting a Child Restraint System
for your child, always:
僅 Make sure the Child Restraint System
has a label certifying that it meets
applicable Safety Standards of your
country.
A Child Restraint System may only be
installed if it was approved in accor-
dance with the requirements of ECE-
R44, ECE-R129 or relevant regulation.
僅 Select a Child Restraint System based
on your child's height and weight. The
required label or the instructions for
use typically provide this information.
僅 Select a Child Restraint System that
fits the vehicle seating position where
it will be used.
For the suitability of Child Restraint
Systems on the vehicle's seating posi-
tions, please refer to "Child seat
restraint suitability for seat position
using the seat belt-For Europe" on
page 3-17.
僅 Read and comply with the warnings
and instructions for installation and
use provided with the Child Restraint
System.

Installation on the front seats
WARNING
僅 Before installing the child restraint
system, read the instructions sup-
plied by the child restraint system
manufacturer.
僅 Failure to observe this manual instruc-
tions regarding child restraint system
and the instructions provided with the
child restraint system could increase
the chance and/or severity of injury in
an accident.
僅 If the child restraint seat is not
anchored properly, the risk of a child
being seriously injured or killed in a
collision greatly increases.
Installing a Child Restraint Sys-
tem with a lap/shoulder belt
To install a Child Restraint System on the
front seats, do the following:
1. Place the Child Restraint System on a
front seat and route the lap/ shoulder
belt around or through the Child
Restraint System, following the Child
Restraint System manufacturer's
instructions.
Make sure the seat belt webbing is
not twisted.
