2.2 Offset Press vs. DirectPress

Offset printing is a technique that transfers (or "offsets") an inked image from a
plate to a rubber blanket, and then to the printing surface. This enables the offset
press to maintain a consistent and high-image quality over long print runs because
the plate never touches the paper. The process requires a substantial investment
in equipment and setup expenses to achieve these results.
DirectPress converts digital data into a toner image in a single step. This compact
process is unaffected by temperature, static, or humidity. Therefore, it offers stable
performance and no deterioration in quality, while producing no ozone or waste
toner.
