When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including:

  1. Read all instructions before operating this appliance.
  2. DO NOT TOUCH the hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  3. This appliance is NOT A TOY.
  4. Unsupervised young children and cognitively challenged individuals should never operate this appliance.
  5. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
  6. To protect against electrical shock do not immerse cord, plug or any part of this unit in water or other liquids.
  7. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before removing parts and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off any parts, and before cleaning.
  8. DO NOT operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or if the appliance has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest repair shop for examination, repair or adjustment.

Operating Safety Precautions

  1. Do not place the unit close to flammable materials, heating units, or wet environments.
  2. Height of ingredients placed in the Base Tray should comply with the directions - Do not fill more than 4 ⁄ 5 full.
  3. Do not replace with other parts that are not designed specifically for the Air Fryer.
  4. Do not put any other cooking pans in the Base Tray. Do not replace any parts with other containers.
  5. If a lot of smoke is escaping from the air vent during operation, unplug the unit immediately.
  6. Do not move the unit while in operation. Only after the Air Fryer has completely cooled down should you attempt to move it. Always wait for the Air Fryer to cool down prior to handling it.
  7. Never use a towel to block the vent.
  8. If any troubles arise during operation, any necessary service must be done by the an autorized professional for repairs.
  9. Do not disassemble the unit on your own or replace any parts.
  10. Do not use metal utensils with the coated Base Tray as this can damage the surface.
  11. If the power cord is damaged, do not attempt to operate the unit.
  12. Keep the unit out of reach of children when the unit is operating or cooling down.
  13. Keep hands and face away from the venting outlet or where heat or steam is being released.
  14. Make sure the Air Fryer is always clean prior to cooking.
  15. It is normal for some smoke to escape the unit when heating for the first time.

Instructions for the Electrical Cord and Plug

  1. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug in any way.
  2. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled or tripping over a long cord.
  3. If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used:
    • Extension cords can be used if care is exercised in their use.
    • The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance.
    • When using a longer cord or extension cord, make sure that the cord does not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on or tripped over unintentionally.
  4. The manufacturer does not recommend using this machine in countries that do not support 120V AC even if a voltage adapter, transformer, or converter is in use.

INTRODUCTION

Congratulations on your purchase of the Nostalgia™ MYMINI 1 QUART AIR FRYER! This air fryer is a healthy alternative to cook delicious fried foods while reducing fat up to 80% compared to a traditional deep fryer. The 1-qt. capacity is perfect for one person or a small gathering! Temperature ranges from 120°F - 400°F and the timer goes up to 30 minutes. Inside pot and food rack are dishwasher safe, allowing for a quick and easy clean up!

HOW TO OPERATE

  1. Before first use, wipe down all surfaces with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Remove all protective paper and wrapping.

    This air fryer cooks using hot air - DO NOT fill base tray with oil.
  2. Find a dry, level surface near an electrical outlet.
  3. Plug into an electrical outlet.
  4. Turn the Timer Knob to start cooking. Maximum time to cook is 30 minutes.
  5. Turn the thermostat to adjust the temperature (ranges from 120°F -400°F ).
  6. Place food onto the center of the basket. Push in the base using the handle and allow to cook. NOTE: Cooking time will vary based on the recipe and ingredients used. Do not cover or block the vent located on the back of the Air Fryer. Doing so can prevent proper ventilation and will adversely affect the cooking results.


For your safety, avoid contact with steam as it is very hot and can cause burns.

  1. Once food is cooked to your preference, pull out the Pot using the handle. Remove food using a heat-resistant cooking utensil.
  2. If cooking more than one food item at a time, be sure to lower the lid in between batches to maintain the proper cooking temperature.

NOTE: Some foods require shaking halfway through cooking.
To properly shake the food, hold the handle, remove the Tray from the appliance, and shake. Once the food has been adequately shaken, slide the Tray into the Air Fryer.

  1. As soon as you are finished cooking, unplug appliance and allow to cool.

  • Check if the Air Fryer is plugged in.

Fan is working, heating element is not

  • Check if the thermostat is adjusted to the specified temperature.
  • The heating element is broken, call a certified technician to repair.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

Please take care of your AIR FRYER by following these simple cleaning directions.

  • Clean the appliance after every use or in between a number of large batches.
  • The Tray and the Food Pot have a non-stick coating. Do not use metal utensils or harsh abrasives when cleaning as this can damage the coating.
  • Unplug the appliance and make sure it cools completely.
  • Use a damp cloth to wipe the outside of the appliance.
  • Clean the Pot and inside components with a nonabrasive sponge, hot water, and mild detergent.
  • Note: If using the dishwasher for the Tray, and Pot, it is recommended to use top rack only.
  • Tip: If there is residual food in the Pot and Tray, add some hot water and let it soak separately for about 10 minutes for easier cleaning.
  • Clean the inside of the appliance with a nonabrasive sponge and hot water.
  • Once cooled completely, clean the Pot, and Tray with a soft cleaning brush to remove any lingering food.

STORAGE

  • Unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely.
  • Make sure that all the parts are cleaned and dry.
  • Push the power cord into the storing capsule. Affix the cord by inserting it into the back of the unit.


Do not immerse unit in water or attempt to cycle through dishwasher.
