BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 3.1.2.8 Analog Sensors, LED Board Note 2, Figure 11 Each LED Board assembly contains a thermal sensor and a photo sensor which are used to sense fault conditions on the LED Board. The thermal sensor outputs an analog voltage which is proportional to the temperature in degrees Celsius of the copper heatsink layer of the LED Board.
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 3.1.3 BC1-0216 CAN Bus Terminator At the end of each CAN bus trunk is a terminator device, the BC1-0216 CAN Bus Terminator. This device terminates the CAN bus trunks in a characteristic impedance of 120 ohms which serves to prevent unwanted reflections or distortion of the CAN data signals.
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 4.0 BR3000 MLS SYSTEM OPERATION 4.1 BR3000-330-2CL & -3CL MLS System Operation 4.1.1 MLS System Power-Up Procedure The LCM and MLCP units in the BR3000-330 MLS system can be powered up in any order without causing operational upset to the system. When power is first applied to the system, it will immediately initialize to the High (Default White) Scenario.
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 4.1.3 MLS System Reset If necessary, the MLS system can be reset to the default, power-up condition. There are two methods that can be used to reset the MLS system: 4.1.3.1 MLCP Unit Reset Pressing the BAR and WAKE buttons simultaneously on the MLCP for a period of 5 seconds or more will reset the unit.
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 4.1.4 SCENARIO EXECUTION A single button press on the MLCP unit is all that is necessary to execute a Scenario for each of the two BR3000-330 MLS systems installed on the A330 aircraft. All of the buttons with the exception of the DAY / NIGHT and TEST special function buttons can be considered Scenario buttons;...
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 4.1.4.2 Skipping to the End of a Scenario Although it is possible to initiate a new Scenario at any time, under certain circumstances it may be preferable to simply skip to the end of a Scenario currently under execution.

BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL To isolate a shorted data cable on the Sidewall or Ceiling data bus, employ the half- splitting method: 1. Disconnect half of the LCM units on the affected CAN data trunk. 2. Confirm whether or not proper LCM function has returned to the LCM units between the MLCP and the last LCM unit in the prior to the point where the data cable was separated.
5.7.1 BR3000-330-2CL MLS System, LRU Removal & Replacement The following procedures outline the steps necessary to remove each of the LRU assemblies in the BR3000-330-2CL MLS system. Installation for each of the LRU assemblies is simply the reverse of the removal procedure: 5.7.1.1 BC1-0212-001 MLCP Unit Removal &...

BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 3. Heavier stains and residue can be removed from the BR3000 MLS, LRU units by using clean cotton swabs and isopropyl alcohol to clean any surfaces or electronic assemblies which have become dirtied or contaminated. Wipe the areas dry with a clean, lint-free cloth.
A repair quote can be requested from the manufacturer prior to the commencement of factory repair. Prior to the return of a broken LRU to the Bruce Aerospace facility, the airline should obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number from the Bruce Aerospace, FAA authorized repair station.
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 5.9.1 BR3000 LRU Bench Testing If the airline is equipped with an electronics maintenance facility, it may be desirable to have the ability to bench test the BR3000 LRU units off of the aircraft. Additional quantitative performance parameters for the BR3000 LRU units can be measured in this manner.
BR3000-330-2CL,-3CL,-2EN CMM and IPL 5.9.1.2.1 LCM Input Current Measurement Measurement of the input current of a single LCM unit during the HIGH (Default White) mode of operation can provide a quick confidence check of proper LCM circuit operation if a partial fault is suspected.
