Connecting the Walkman to a paired smartphone
If the Walkman and a smartphone have been paired before, the smartphone is registered to the Walkman. You can
connect the Walkman and the smartphone easily.
On the library screen of the Walkman, tap

Confirm the message and tap [OK].

The Walkman will switch to the Bluetooth Receiver function.
On the smartphone screen, select the name of the Walkman from the list of paired devices.

The Walkman may connect to the smartphone automatically, depending on the smartphone.
Play a track on the smartphone.

To turn off the Bluetooth Receiver function
Tap in the top left of the Bluetooth Receiver screen. Then, tap [OK] when a message appears. The Walkman will
return to the music playback function.
To check the information for a smartphone
Perform the following operations on the Bluetooth Receiver screen.
1.
Tap the menu items in the following order.
– [Settings] – [Added Devices - Bluetooth Receiver] ([Bluetooth]).
2.
Tap next to the name of the smartphone whose information you want to check. Then, select [Device
Information].
To erase the registration of a smartphone
Perform the following operations on the Bluetooth Receiver screen. You can erase the registration of a smartphone from
the Walkman.
1.
Tap the menu items in the following order.
– [Settings] – [Added Devices - Bluetooth Receiver] ([Bluetooth]).
2.
Tap next to the name of the smartphone whose registration you want to erase. Then, select [Delete Device].
3.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
Hint
You can listen to playback from a smartphone with the sound quality settings on the Walkman.
If you connect a USB charger (not supplied), the Walkman will charge while maintaining the Bluetooth connection.
If the same smartphone appears multiple times, check the BD address of the smartphone under [Device Information]. For details
on the BD address, refer to the manual of the smartphone.
