Introduction

The D-Link DIR-508L SharePort Go II lets you create a secure wireless network to share photos, files, music, and video on the go. Connect
the router to a cable or DSL modem and share your high-speed Internet access with everyone on the network. Even when you are away
from home, connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot to share your Internet access with your friends securely. Directly attaching a 3G/4G USB adapter
allows sharing of a mobile broadband connection on the go. For convergence and convenience, the DIR-508L also supports UPnP and
DLNA protocols for easy sharing of media to other certified devices. With the mydlink SharePort and SharePort Mobile apps, your iOS,
Android, and Windows 8/RT devices can easily access files and stream media either remotely or locally from storage attached to the
DIR-508L.
The DIR-508L provides fast Wireless N 300 technology and supports all of the latest wireless security features to prevent unauthorized
access; no matter if you are connected to the Internet via a wired or wireless connection. Support for WPA2 standards ensure that you'll
be able to use the best possible encryption method, regardless of your client devices. WPS 2.0 Wi-Fi Protected Setup allows for easy and
secure wireless connections and a Guest Zone feature provides a separate subnet for guests to access Internet without the privilege
to access the administration UI. In addition, this router allows VPN passthrough via PPTP, L2TP, or IPSec for secure tunnel connections.
To round out this complete all-in-one mobile solution, the DIR-508L can charge mobile devices such as phones, tablets, and other
devices via its universal USB port. This feature offers convenience and peace of mind when your devices are low on battery or when
you've forgotten to bring along your devices' chargers on your travels.
