Applications
DC machine of the 1HS6... series are implemented with open-circuit or closed-circuit cooling
with a laminated stator yoke.
They are designed for a wide range of drive and energy conversion applications and comply
with the harmonized standards of series IEC / EN 60034 (VDE 0530).
Risk of explosion
This machine is not designed for use in hazardous areas. An explosion can occur if the
machine is operated in these areas. This can result in death, serious injury or material damage.
Never operate this machine in hazardous areas.

Cooling
The machine is cooled by a built-on air-to-water heat exchanger (cooling method IC W37 A86).
The cooling air is impelled through the machine by an external fan mounted on the heat
exchanger enclosure.
