10. Shutting Down the Implement

To shut down the implement, first bring the tractor to
a complete stop.
Park the tractor on a level surface, place the
transmission in park or neutral and apply the
parking brake, lower the attached implement to the
ground, shut down the engine, remove the key,
before exiting the tractor.

11. DISCONNECTING THE CULTIVATOR FROM THE TRACTOR

Before disconnecting the cultivator, all movement must cease. Move the implement to a level storage location
and lower the unit to the ground. If the cultivator is not resting securely on the ground, block the implement up
securely before attempting to disconnect it from the tractor.
Use extreme care to keep feet and hands from under the cultivator and clear of any pinch points.
OPS- C-0003
Always shut the Tractor completely down, place the transmission in park, and set the
parking brake before you or anyone else attempts to connect or disconnect the Implement
and Tractor hitches.

12. CULTIVATOR STORAGE

Properly preparing and storing the cultivator at the end of the season is critical to maintaining its appearance
and to help ensure years of dependable service. The following are suggested storage procedures:
Thoroughly clean all debris off the unit to prevent damage from rotting grass, mud, and standing water.
Lubricate all grease points as detailed in the maintenance section.
Tighten all bolts and pins to the recommended torque.
Check the unit for worn and damaged parts. Perform repairs and make replacements immediately so that
the unit will be ready for use at the start of the next season.
Store the unit in a clean, dry place resting securely on the level ground.
Use spray touch-up enamel where necessary to prevent rust and maintain the appearance of the unit.
