    OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS 3. Holding the String Trimmer WARNING • Dress properly to reduce the risk of injury when operating this tool. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Wear eye and ear/hearing protection. Wear heavy, long pants, boots and gloves. Do not wear short pants and sandals or go barefoot.

  • Page 12 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS Adjusting the Cutting Swath The string trimmer is factory set at 15-inch (38 cm) cutting swath. To decrease the cutting swath from 15 to 13 inches (38 to 33 cm): a. Remove the battery pack from the tool. b.
