9. Slide the new optical drive into the drive bay from the front of the computer until the screw hole in the
new optical drive aligns with the corresponding hole in the hard disk drive bracket.

10. Install the screw to secure the optical drive to the hard disk drive bracket.
11. Connect the signal cable and the power cable to the new optical drive.

Replacing the front bezel

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the front bezel, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 82.
3. Remove the optical drive. See "Replacing the optical drive" on page 82.
4. Locate the front bezel. See "Computer components" on page 31.
