Start Up Your DiskStation 1 Use the LAN cable to connect the DiskStation to your switch, router or hub. 2 Connect the AC adapter to the power port of the DiskStation. Connect one end of the AC power cord to the AC power adapter, and the other to the power outlet. -

1. Always install the RAM module into Slot 1 first. 2. When two RAM modules are installed, both of them must be identical. 3. Synology will not provide complete product warranty or technical support if non-Synology RAM modules are used for memory upgrade. -

5 Put back the upper case removed in step 2 and tighten the srcews. Note: DS1517+ with M2D17 can only support M.2 SATA SSD. M.2 NVMe/AHCI PCIe SSD is not supported.
