8. Install the screw to secure the Wi-Fi card to the system board, and then connect the Wi-Fi antenna
cables to the Wi-Fi card.

9. Reinstall the heat sink or the storage drive bracket if you have removed any one of them. See "Replacing
the heat sink" on page 116 or "Replacing the 2.5-inch storage drive (for 10G8, 10G9, 10GA, 10GB,
10GC, 10GD, 10GE, and 10GF)" on page 123.

Replacing the Wi-Fi antennas

Attention: Do not open your computer or attempt any repair before reading and understanding the Chapter
1 "Read this first: Important safety information" on page 1.
To replace the Wi-Fi antennas, refer to the following topics:

Replacing the front Wi-Fi antenna
To replace the front Wi-Fi antenna, do the following:
1. Remove any media from the drives and turn off all connected devices and the computer. Then,
disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the
computer.
2. Remove the computer cover. See "Removing the computer cover" on page 112.
3. Disconnect the front Wi-Fi antenna cable from the Wi-Fi card.
4. Unstick the front Wi-Fi antenna from the hard disk drive bracket.
