Philips Hue User Manual Connecting the hardware The first step in setting up your Philips Hue is connecting all of the hardware; that means plugging in everything from the Starter Kit box. In this section you’ll learn how to insert the lights, connect the bridge and connect to Wi-Fi.
Now that you’ve set up the hardware, you can set up the software. Installing the software Your Philips Hue is operated solely through your device with the Philips Hue app; giving you control of your lights from anywhere. In this section you’ll learn how to download and set up the app.

Siri voice commands. Operating the lights Now that your Philips Hue is set up, you can operate your lights from anywhere using your device. In this section you’ll learn how to turn the lights on and off, and adjust the light colours.

Before you set timers and alarms, it’s important to know the difference. Alarms turn the lights on and off based on clock time while timers turn the lights on and off using hours and minutes.
