PC2 Version 3 Operating System Features
Many of the new features in the Version 3 operating system
support the programs and setups in the PCR-1 option. There
are several other new features as well, however. This section
describes all of the new features, which fall into the following

GM Control Parameters
PC2s with the Version 3 operating system and the PCR-1
option support General MIDI 1 (GM). You can turn on GM
mode and play any GM file using the PC2.
Note: For GM files to play correctly, the GM program set
must be present in the PC2—it can be in either ROM (Bank 2,
Exp1) or in RAM (Bank 1, User), but it has to be present.
