  • Page 7 HT 1250 Hot Zone Radio Controls on Top of Radio · Power On/Off and Volume. Turns the radio on or off and adjusts the volume to a comfortable listening level. · Zone/Channel Select. Rotate the Zone/Channel Select knob to the desired position to access conventional channels.

All programmable buttons can be programmed to activate the following functions with the press of a single button: Monitor (Conventional mode). Allows user to monitor the channel for activity when PL is activated.

One of the menu keys used to scroll through menu selectable functions when in menu mode. The Menu Select button is used to enter the Menu Mode and to make menu selections.

  • Page 11 HT 1250 Hot Zone Radio Controls on Left Side of Radio Push-To-Talk. The Push-to-Talk (PTT) switch is located on the side of the radio for easy operation while holding the radio. Pressing the PTT switch causes the radio to begin transmitting.

The following are descriptions of each of the icons on the display. Companding The companding feature is activated. When in narrow band, this feature improves audio quality.
