Using Receiver Internet Access
Using the CarAVAssist app and wireless data from your connected mobile device, you
can use the weather function that require an internet connection.
– Compatible Pioneer receiver, compatible mobile device with CarAVAssist app, and
wireless services data plan required.
– NOTE: This function uses data from the mobile device that you connect to this unit.
Data usage will depend on the functions used on this unit.
NOTE
This function may not be available depending on your smartphone or the OS version.
Starting procedure
NOTES
• You need to install CarAVAssist on your device to use this function (page 31).
• For details of the CarAVAssist operation in the following steps, refer to "Help" in the CarAVAssist
application.

Turn on the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth functions on your iPhone or smartphone.

then swipe left on the screen.

Touch [Select Wi-Fi] then [Smartphone].

The unit starts to search for available devices, then displays them in the device list.

A connection confirmation message appears on the screen.

Touch [Yes] on the pop-up message.
Transfer mode screen is displayed.

Open CarAVAssist on the connected iPhone or smartphone then add this product
on the top menu screen of the application.

Activate the [Receiver Internet Access] setting in the application.
Description
Touch [OK] to reset the infrastructure mode network
password.
