11.3 Removing and Replacing a BM

This section explains how to remove and replace the BM. Install the BM in the passive optical shelf of
the ONS MCU 15252 unit when you plan to configure the ONS 15200 system in the mesh configuration.
Make sure the replacement unit and any supplies, such as tagging materials, are present on site before
beginning the removal and replacement procedures.
The Multiple Channel Unit (MCU) is energized with -48 VDC power.

a grounding wrist strap to discharge the static buildup. Wrist straps are designed to prevent static
electricity damage to equipment.

Procedure: Remove the Bridge Module and Replace it With Two TMs

Follow proper safety procedures when removing modules without switching off the relevant
