POWER SOURCE
This Cassette Player operates on 2 'AA' (UM-3) batteries or use a USB power supply. Note: Battery and USB cable not included.
BATTERY OPERATION For better performance and longer operating time, we recommend the use of alkaline-type batteries.
Open the BATTERY DOOR by sliding downwards and hinging upwards.
Following the polarity diagram on the back cabinet, insert 2 'AA' (UM-3) batteries and close the BATTERY DOOR.
Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong polarity may damage the unit.
Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries. Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode.
USB POWER SUPPLY
If you are using USB power, we recommend that you remove any batteries first.
Insert a micro USB cable(not supplied) into the USB port on the device and use a suitable USB power supply.
Please remove any batteries from the unit if unit will not be used for a period of time. * please allow slight interference on AM radio reception when using USB power supply
USB PLAY
Insert the USB device to USB port.
Set USB/TAPE switch to USB.
Press PLAY/PAUSE button to playback music from USB device. Press PLAY/PAUSE button again to stop play.
USB PLAY MODE
One Click the MODE button to repeat the single.
Double Click the MODE button to repeat all the tunes.
Third Click the MODE button to play random.
USB RECORDING
Insert the USB device to USB port, the red USB indicator is on.
Press the USB recording button and the red USB indicator flashes to start recording.
Press the USB recording button again stop recording, and the recording file will be saved as WAV file automatically.
Press PLAY/PAUSE button to play the recording file.
TAPE TRANSCRIPTION USB
Insert the USB device to USB port, set USB/TAPE switch to tape, and Press PLAY button to play the tape.
Press the USB recording button and the red USB indicator flashes to start recording the contents of the tape.
Press the USB recording button again to stop recording, the red USB indicator will not flash, the recording file will be saved as WAV file automatically. Note: Delete the recording file on your computer only after connecting to the computer.
Stop the cassette play, Set USB/TAPE switch to USB. and press MoveNext button several times to find the last file is the newly recorded file. then press PLAY/PAUSE button to play the recording file.
CASSETTE PLAYER OPERATION
Put on your earphones and insert the plug of your earphones into the EARPHONE JACK.
Set the FUNCTION SELECTOR to "TAPE" if required.
Open the CASSETTE DOOR and insert a pre-recorded cassette tape with the exposed tape facing upwards then Push position on cassette door to close the cassette door.
Press the PLAY BUTTON and adjust the VOLUME CONTROL to obtain the desired sound level.
Press the F. FWD BUTTON when you wish to rapidly advance the tape.
Press the STOP BUTTON to switch off.
STANDBY SETTING
In order to preserve the battery life for as long as possible it is recommended you set the FUNCTION switch to the TAPE position when the unit is not in use.
PRECAUTIONS FOR USE
For safety, it is recommended that the headphones not be worn while on road traffic
Keep the volume set to a comfortable listening level as excess loudness could damage the user's hearing
RECORDING OPERATION
Open the cassette door and insert a blank tape into the cassette case, before recording the music or conversation, please check the bottom of cassette tape both side A or B it must have two "Recording Lip" as shown below
Then Pushposition on the cassette door to Close the cassette door and select your favourite music and program from the radio or from the Mic, Adjust the volume level to sultable level or Max., press the "REC" button(ln RED color) start to record
You can monitor the recording process through your headphone or speaker.
Press the "STOP" button to stop the record function
To listen to the recorded programme, you can press the F.BWD button to rewind the tape and press the PLAY button to replay the recorded programme.
To prevent your recorded programme from being erased you can take out the RECORDING LIP Note: The V AS switch mush be at off position, When the recording from radio.
AUTOMATIC STOP
To protect your cassette tapes and p「event unnecessary wear to the pinch roller of the cassette mechanism, this unit is equipped with an Automatic Stop System. When the tape ends during play or fast forwarding, the PLAY BUTTON will automatically release to stop the cassette from running.
CASSETTE TAPE OPERATING TIPS
High quality tapes are recommended to obtain maximum quality reproduction from recordings
Use 60mins cassette for optimum performace
To obtain good reproduction, the head should be cleaned after every 10 to 20 hours of use. It is also recommended that the cassette be kept away from excessive heat or cold
If there is slack in the tape, remove the slack prior to inserting the cassette. To remove the slack, insert a pencil into the hub and rotate clockwise as shown below
A leader tape is provided at the beginning on each cassette. There is no recording on this area, so it is necessary to let the tape run for about five seconds to clear the head
Keep the tape head clean since a dirty head can cause distorted sound or improper tape speed. Depress the PLAY BUTTON and use a small cotton swab with tape head cleaner or alcohol to clean the tape head, capstan and pinch roller as shown below:
READ THIS IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE USING YOUR EARPHONES
Avoid extended play at very high volume as it may impair your hearing
If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce the volume or shut off your unit
Do not use while driving a motorized vehicle. This is dangerous and also illegal in some states
Keep the volume at a reasonable level even if your headset is an open-air type designed to allow you to hear outside sounds. Please note excessively high volume may still block outside sounds
SAFETY INFORMATION
Do not attempt to disassemble this unit.
Make sure that pins o「other foreign objects do not get inside the unit.
Take care not to drop the unit or subject it to strong shocks. lnside a car which become extrmely hot and softer shocks & vibrations
CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Clean your unit with a damp (never wet) cloth. Solvent or detergent should never be used.
Avoid leaving your unit in direct sunlight or in hot, humid or dusty places
Keep your unit away from heating appliances and sources of electrical noise such as fluorescent lamps or motors.
