Adjusting the Blade Parallel to the
Miter Gauge Slots
(Fig. 1, Fig. 39, Fig. 40, Fig. 41)
The Blade 32 was adjusted parallel to the Miter
Gauge Slots 73 at the factory. In order to ensure
accurate cuts and help prevent kickback, this
adjustment should be rechecked. If adjustment
is necessary, follow the steps below.
1. Turn the Elevation Wheel 2, and raise the
Blade 32 as high as it will go.
2. Select a point on the body of the saw Blade
32 that is on the left side of the Blade 32
when viewing the Blade 32 from the front of
the saw, and mark this point with a pencil.
3. Place the base of a combination square
against the edge of the Miter Gauge Slot 73,
and extend the sliding rule of the square so
it just touches the marked point on the body
of the saw Blade 32 at the rear of the Table
13, avoiding the blade teeth.
4. Rotate the Blade 32 and check the same
marked point of the saw Blade 32 at the
front of the Table 13.
5. If the front and back measurements are not
identical use the Hex Wrench 33 supplied
with your saw to loosen the four Blade Align-
ment Bolts 74 located on the underside of
the Table 13 at the front and rear of the saw.
6. Carefully move the saw Blade 32 until it is
parallel to the Miter Gauge Slot 73, and se-
curely tighten all four Blade Alignment Bolts
74.
7. Verify that the Blade 32 is parallel to the Mi-
ter Gauge Slot 73 by repeating steps 3 and
4. If the Blade 32 is not aligned, repeat steps
5 and 6.
