Operating instructions
Please read these instructions carefully and keep them safe for later
use. Risk of injury or electrical shock!

Safety information

- The heater may only be used after the as-
sembly described in section II is completed.
For safe use of the product the heating unit
must be located at a minimum height of
1.8 m from the ground, a minimum distance
of 0.5 m from ceiling, roof and walls on both
sides, and at a distance of 1 m from the area
to be heated.
- Always ensure that your power supply
matches this appliance's rating label.
- Always unplug the appliance when not in use.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid
burns, do not let bare skin touch hot
surfaces.
- Caution: Some parts of this product can
become very hot and cause burns. Particu-
lar attention has to be given when children
and vulnerable people are present.
- Keep combustible materials such as furni-
ture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and
curtains at least 1 m from the heater.
- The heating unit must not face upwards
towards the ceiling. The heating unit should
face the area it is meant to heat.
- This appliance can be used by children
aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the
hazards involved.

- Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be
made by children without supervision.
- Children of less than 3 years should be kept
away unless continuously supervised.
- Children aged from 3 years and less than 8
years shall only switch on/off the appli-
ance provided that it has been placed or
installed in its intended normal operating
position and they have been given supervi-
sion or instruction concerning the use of
the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children aged from
3 years and less than 8 years shall not
plug in, regulate and clean the appliance or
perform user maintenance.
- Do not use the product if there are any vis-
ible signs of damage to the appliance.
- The heater does not contain any user
serviceable parts. Electrical work and
repairs must be performed by a qualified
electrician.
- If the mains cable is damaged it must be
replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent, or similarly qualified persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
- The appliance must not be modified in any
way. Risk of electric shock and accident.
Do not replace or attempt to replace the
heating element.
- This product is suitable for outdoor use
only. Do not operate the appliance in
direct sunlight, near heat sources, humid
environments or in places near water or
other liquids such as bathrooms, showers
or swimming pools.
- The heater must not be left outdoors exposed
to the elements over long periods of time.
- Do not operate with wet hands. Do not spill
water or other liquids on to the appliance,
the mains cable or plug.
- Do not run the power cable or extension
cable under carpeting. Do not cover the ca-
ble with rugs, runner, or similar coverings.
Arrange the cable away from foot traffic and
ensure it will not be tripped over.
- Do not wind the cable around the unit.
- Do not insert or allow foreign objects to en-
ter any ventilation or opening on the heater,
as this may result in electric shock, fire, or
damage to the heater.
- To prevent a possible fire, do not block the
air vents.
- Do not use the appliance in areas where
petrol, paints or other flammable substanc-
es are used or stored.
- Always position the appliance with the
mains plug in an accessible position.
Only use extension cables that comply
with H07RN-F and which are intended for
outdoor use and are protected against
splashes of water. Min. cable diameter:
2.5 mm
; max. cable length: 10 m.

- Always ensure the heater is plugged into
a suitable socket, one that is tested for
outdoor use.
- To disconnect the heater, turn controls to
OFF, then remove plug from socket. Do not
unplug by pulling the power cable.
- Always unplug the unit and ensure the unit
is completely cold before moving, cleaning,
covering or storing.
- This heater is intended for domestic use
only and should not be used commercially.
Any alternative use not recommended by
the manufacturer may result in fire, electric
shock, or injury to persons.
- The use of attachments on the heater is not
recommended.
- Warning: This heater is not equipped with
a device to control the room temperature.
Only use the heater outdoors.
- Check exterior walls for communication
and electrical cables and pipelines. Should
any service lines be present in the immedi-
ate vicinity, find an alternative location to
install this product.
- The heater must not be located immediately
above or below a socket-outlet.

Use of batteries

- CAUTION! Danger of explosion if batteries
are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with
the same or equivalent type. Observe cor-
rect polarity.
- Batteries (battery pack or batteries
installed) shall not be exposed to exces-
sive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
Protect from mechanical shock. Keep dry
and clean. Keep away from children.
- Do not open, dismantle, shred or short-
circuit batteries. Do not mix old and new
batteries.
- Never use a damaged battery.
- Dispose of properly. Pay attention to envi-
ronmental aspects of battery disposal. Do
not dispose of in household waste.
