Getting to Know Your Modem

Your modem supports data, SMS and phone services through the mobile phone network, enabling you to communicate anytime and anywhere.
The following figure is only for your reference.

Installing the (U)SIM Card and microSDHC Card

1. Put finger on the bottom finger grip, and then lift the front cover of the modem to release and remove.
   
   NOTE:
   Do not open the front cover rudely. Failing to do so may cause damage to the front cover.
2. Install the (U)SIM card to the (U)SIM card slot.
   
   
   Your device does not support the Micro/Nano SIM card or any other nonstandard SIM cards. To avoid damaging the device, do not use those cards or any card holders.
3. Install the microSDHC card to the microSDHC card slot.
   
4. Put the front cover of the modem flatly upon the body of modem. Direct the front cover towards the locking catches on the sides of the modem and push the front cover of the modem to close it.
   

Connecting the Modem to Your PC

Install the device to your computer's USB port securely. The operating system automatically detects and recognizes your modem and starts the installation wizard.

Installing Software

On different operating systems, the installation procedures may be different. Follow the system prompts during operation.

For Windows Operating System
Follow the system prompts to complete the software installation.

NOTE:
If the system does not launch installation automatically, you can run the installation program by selecting My Computer > ZTEMODEM.

For Mac Operating System
The system will automatically display a CD-ROM icon on the desktop when you connect the modem to your computer correctly. Double click the installation software package in this CD-ROM, and follow the system prompts to complete the software installation.

Using Your Modem

Various icons are presented to enable quick operation of the following functions:

	Connect	Connect to the Internet.
	Menu	Unfold or fold the main window.
	Data	Show the connection information.
	SMS	Send or read your SMS.
	Contacts	Manage your contacts.
	Settings	Set the USB modem.
	Call	Make a call.
