Overview

  1. Play/pause button Call/redial button
    Volume dial Frequency dial
  • Press the button to play or pause the track.
  • Press the button to answer or end a call. Press and hold the button to reject a call. Press the button twice to redial the last phone number.
  • Playback: Turn the dial clockwise to increase the volume. Turn the dial counterclockwise to decrease the volume.
  • FM transmitting: Turn the dial to adjust the FM frequency. Make sure that the FM frequency of the device is the same as the FM frequency of the car radio system. (For a better sound performance, select an unused FM frequency on the car radio system which is as weak as possible.)
  1. Mode button
  • Press the button to select the mode: DAB+ / Bluetooth / USB / MicroSD card.
  • Press and hold the button to set the device to standby mode.
  1. Scan button TX button
  • Press the button to scan the full list of DAB/DAB+ stations.
  • FM transmitting: Press and hold the button to modulate the FM frequency (87.5 - 108.0 MHz). Press the button to confirm the selected FM frequency.
  1. Forward button Next button
  • Press the button to go forward.
  • Press the button to select the next track.
  1. Backward button
    Previous button
  • Press the button to go backward.
  • Press the button to select the previous track.
  1. Display
  • The device has a built-in RDS (Radio Data System) transmitting function. The device can transmit information of the DAB+ transmitter to the car radio system. The display of the car radio system will show the information.
  1. USB port (5V / 2.1A)
  • To play audio files from the device, connect your USB device to the USB port.
  • To charge the device, connect the USB cable to the USB port.
  1. Memory card slot (microSD)
  • Insert a memory card into the memory card slot.
  1. DAB ANT input
  • Connect a DAB antenna to the DAB ANT input.
  1. Audio output
  • Connect the headphone cable to the audio output.
  • For a better sound experience, use a 3.5mm-to-3.5mm cable and connect the cable to the audio input of your car. Select "AUX IN" on the car radio system to play the sound directly.
  1. Microphone
  1. USB port (5V / 3A)
  • To charge the device, connect the USB cable to the USB port.

Note:

  • Make sure that the DAB antenna is not damaged.
  • Make sure that the wiring is long enough to connect the device.
  • Make sure that your windscreen is clean and dry.
  • Define the correct location for the device.
  • Remove the protective cover from the antenna pedestal. Attach the antenna pedestal vertically to your windscreen. Softly press the antenna pedestal until the film firmly sticks to yor windscreen.
  • Install the DAB antenna. Refer to the wiring diagram.
  • Adjust the DAB antenna for best possible radio reception.

Listening to DAB+ radio stations

  • Press the mode button to switch to DAB+ mode.
  • Press the scan button to scan DAB/DAB+ radio stations and save all available radio stations automatically.
  • Press the next/previous buttons to select a radio station.

Bluetooth

  • Press the mode button to switch to Bluetooth mode. The display flashes and shows "Bluetooth® Unconnected".
  • Activate Bluetooth on your mobile device.
  • Search for "CATR300" on your mobile device and connect your mobile device to the device.
  • If the Bluetooth connection is successful, the display will show "Bluetooth® Connected". You can stream the music from your mobile device and make hands-free phone calls.

Electrical safety

  • To reduce risk of electric shock, this product should only be opened by an authorized technician when service is required.
  • Disconnect the product from the mains and other equipment if a problem should occur.
  • Do not use the device if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged or defective. If the mains cable or mains plug is damaged or defective, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised repair agent.

Cleaning and maintenance

  • Before cleaning or maintenance, always switch off the device, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the device has cooled down.
  • Do not use cleaning solvents or abrasives.
  • Do not clean the inside of the device.
  • Do not attempt to repair the device. If the device does not operate correctly, replace it with a new device.
  • Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
  • Clean the outside of the device using a soft, damp cloth. Thoroughly dry the device with a clean, dry cloth.
