1 Power indicator
This lights when the unit is powered on.
This unit does not have a power switch. It is powered
on and off by control from the ES-7 EditStation. When
this unit is connected correctly to the ES-7 with four
SCSI cables, it is powered on and off together with the
ES-7.
2 SCSI 3 IN and SCSI 4 IN connectors (50-pin
high density SCSI-2)
5 SCSI 1 IN and SCSI 2 IN connectors (50-pin
high density SCSI-2)
Connect to the SCSI 1 to 4 connectors of an ESBK-
7041 Disk Recorder Board installed in the ES-7
EditStation, or to the SCSI 1 OUT to SCSI 4 OUT
connectors of another disk unit.
3 SCSI 3 OUT and SCSI 4 OUT connectors (50-
pin high density SCSI-2)
4 SCSI 1 OUT and SCSI 2 OUT connectors (50-
pin high density SCSI-2)
Connect to the SCSI 1 IN to SCSI 4 IN connectors of
another disk unit. If this unit is the last unit in the SCSI
chain, these connectors are not connected to any other
equipment. In this case, set the SCSI terminator to ON.

6 Breaker
This opens the power circuit of this unit when the
current exceeds the predetermined value. When the
breaker operates to shut the power off, please contact
your Sony dealer.
7 AC IN connector
Connect the supplied AC power cord.
8 y (signal ground) terminal
Connect as required to ground terminal of a mounting
rack or other equipment.
9 DIP switches
Set these switches to specify the SCSI ID of this unit
and to turn SCSI termination ON and OFF.
