8.2 Process image output (PIQ)
The switch position is acquired via the position sensors. For this purpose, the 24 V DC
auxiliary voltage must be present.
D2 (group error)
1: One of the following fault conditions currently applicable:
• 24 V DC auxiliary voltage missing (code 100)
• Switching contact at local input Y1-Y2 open (code 101)
• Control error in the reversing starter, both directions of rotation controlled, i.e. both output
bits D0, D1 = 1 (code 101)
• Contactor coil/contactor defective (code 101)
• Contactor welded (code 111)
• Short-term transitional state in the reversing starter when the switching contact at local
input Y1-Y2 is opened and movement out of the end position is effected in the opposite
direction (code 111).
The code in parentheses shows the associated combination of input bits D2, D1, D0.
A more detailed description can be found in Section 12-2 "Diagnostics via AS-Interface".
D3 (group warning)
1: Main voltage is applied (evaluation of phases L1-L2)
Group warning D3 does not prevent control of the contactor coils. The switching function of
the contactors can therefore also be tested without the main voltage.
Group warning D3 does not influence inputs bits D2, D1, D0.

Process image output (PIQ)

Process image output
From the viewpoint of the control/PLC, the process image output contains the control
commands for the function modules for AS‑Interface (direct-on-line starting, reversing starting,
and star-delta (wye-delta) starting).
Note
The function modules use 3 output bits (D0, D1, D2).
Depending on the configuration of the AS-i master, the output image of the AS-i module can
contain up to 4 output bits (D0, D1, D2, D3). In this case, output bit D3 is not evaluated by the
AS-i master.
The contactor coils are only controlled when no group error is pending (input D2).
Exception for the reversing starter: If the switching contact at local input Y1‑Y2 is open
(input bits D2, D1, D0 = 101), the contactor can be controlled to move in the opposite
