Break-in time The transducers of your Dynaudio BM5 mkIII will achieve better sound quality after breaking in, especially after the first hours of use you may notice a significant advance in sound quality, and further subtle improvements in subsequent hours of use. - Page 7 Introduction Congratulations on your purchase of the Dynaudio BM5 mkIII active monitor system. Setup and Operation Overview – rear panel Correct setup and connections is essential to achieve optimal performance from your monitors. Please follow the instructions on the following pages. 1. If your source has a low output, set switch to the +4 position to gain 4 dB more sensitivity. Protection The BM5 mkIII monitor has several built in protection systems to reduce the risk of hazard or damage due to overloading. - Page 11 Positioning The BM5 mkIII is designed as a precision near-field monitor and can be equally well used in both stereo and surround setups. Optimal performance is achieved when positioned 1 to 3 meters from the listener. It can be placed on stands or on the meter bridge of a console provided that the meter bridge is sufficiently sturdy.

If you hear no sound, check your input signal, i.e. by switching the left and right speakers. Care Components of the highest quality are used in your BM5 mkIII. This assures years of trouble-free operation. Following precautions should still be made though. -
