INSTALLING THE HARDWARE:
1. Locate your PC's card slot (usually located on the side).
Slide the EtherFast 10/100 Integrated CardBus PC Card
into the slot with the triangle facing up. Ensure that the
card is inserted firmly in place.
2. Attach one end of a Category 5 network cable into the RJ-
45 port on the PC Card. Plug the other end of the cable
into a Fast Ethernet or 10BaseT hub.
You are now ready to install the network driver.
INSTALLING THE NETWORK DRIVER
1. Start your computer and boot up Windows 2000.
2. Windows will display the Found New Hardware Wizard
box.
Click Next.
3. The Install Hardware Device Drivers dialog box will
appear.
When Ethernet Controller is displayed, select "Search for a
suitable driver for your device (Recommended)". Click Next.
4. The Locate Driver Files dialog box will appear.

Quick Installation

For Windows 2000

This sheet will guide you through the basic steps needed to install this
Linksys product on your computer. If you have any problems during
installation, visit our support page at www.Linksys.com.
Select the "Floppy disk drives" option, insert the Linksys
EtherFast 10/100 Integrated CardBus PC Card Driver Disk
into your floppy drive. Click Next.
5. The Driver File Search Results dialog box will appear. Click
Next.
6. The Completing the Found New Hardware Wizard dialog
box will appear.
The following adapter name will be shown:
Linksys EtherFast 10/100 Integrated
CardBus PC Card II
Click Finish.
7. Remove any Driver Disks from your floppy drives.
Installation is complete.
If you want to share files or printers,
refer to the Windows 2000 documentation
N N o o t t e e : : Do not click C C a a n n c c e e l l or S S k k i i p p at any time during
the installation process. Doing so will prevent your
driver from being properly installed on your PC.
