    Printer Reuse Kit Printer Deinstallation 1. Unlock the Printer door with the Ovation Printer Key and pull out the printer. 2. Unplug the printer from the interior components and DC power board. Note: Disconnecting of the USB/Comm cable should have been done during the deinstallation section of the Retrofit Kit Instructions.

  • Page 19 Printer Reuse Kit 4. Pull out the Printer Door by disengaging the slide latch on the bottom of the printer. 5. Remove the printer from the Slide. a. Unscrew the two side screws using a 3mm Hex Key and retain.

    Printer Reuse Kit Printer Installation Install the Printer Door (497-0515157) 1. Remove the adhesive cover from the door hinge as shown. 2. Attach the hinge to the right side of the door and secure with the 4 provided nuts (006-8611952) on the back side of the dispenser door.

    Printer Reuse Kit 3. Install the gasket (497-0514265) over the side of the hinge making sure the gasket stays within the channel in the dispenser door. Orient the gasket so the thick side of the gasket covers the hinge. Continue the Dispenser Retrofit Installation. Follow the OPTIC 12 Ovation 2 Retrofit Kit installation instructions (497-0517176), UL Listed by Report Retrofit kit part number 6002-0006-8801.
  • Page 24 Printer Reuse Kit b. Place the retained printer onto the Reuse Chassis. Route the cables through the mailbox towards the back of the chassis. Fit onto the bottom stud.

  • Page 26 Printer Reuse Kit c. Slide the printer forward on the Reuse Chassis until the front of the printer mates up to the gasket shown and engages the Chassis snap. d. Install the 2 retained screws to the Reuse Chassis to secure the printer.
  • Page 27 Printer Reuse Kit 2. Adjust the bottom printer support rod to the correct height with a 10mm wrench or monkey wrench. a. Place the Nut (006-8611858) onto the Support Rod (006-8625421).
  • Page 28 Printer Reuse Kit b. Install the support rod to the bottom of the printer chassis. c. Adjust the support rod so the Reuse Printer Assembly can be installed. The support rod should be able to just clear the bottom edge of the dispenser door. Adjust the rod by turning the nut towards the bottom of the support rod and then tightening the rod deeper into the printer chassis.
  • Page 29 Printer Reuse Kit 3. Install the Printer to the dispenser door. a. Install the 4 printer chassis support screws (006-0654018) to the dispenser door as shown. Note: Printer door should be open to make install easier. b. Slide the printer assembly onto the support screws.

  • Page 31 Printer Reuse Kit d. Make final support rod adjustments. The support rod should be adjusted so it sits on the bottom edge of the dispenser door. Loosen the rod from the printer chassis until it touches the bottom of the door and meets slight resistance. To keep the rod in place, tighten the nut against the bottom of the printer chassis.
  • Page 32 Printer Reuse Kit 4. Plug in the printer USB cable to the OPTIC 12 Printer USB Port. 5. Route and plug in the Printer Power cable to the DC power board inside the dispenser.

  • Page 34 Printer Reuse Kit 6. Install the grounding cable (497-0513687) to the Printer cover by removing the top left printer cover screw (when looking at the back of the dispenser door), sliding on the grounding cable, and reattaching the cover screw as shown below. 7.
  • Page 35 Printer Reuse Kit 8. Verify the wires have been routed correctly by fully extending the printer slide through the printer door and pushing it back in and checking the wire clearance. Caution: If wires come in contact with the paper area at any point this could cause a printer malfunction.
