Light Path diagnostics panel

The following illustration shows the controls and LEDs on the Light Path diagnostics
panel.
Use the Light Path diagnostics panel to diagnose system errors. The Light Path
diagnostics panel is on the top of the operator information panel. To access the
Light Path diagnostics panel, press the release latch to the left, on the front of the
operator information panel; then, slide out the operator information panel.

The following table lists the LEDs on the Light Path diagnostics panel, the problems
that they indicate, and actions to solve the problems. The actions in the table refer
to two different error logs; the event error log and the POST error log.

The two error logs are in the Configuration/Setup Utility in the Event/Error logs
option. For more information, see the User's Guide.
LED
Problem
None
An error has occurred and cannot be
diagnosed, or the ASM processor has
failed. The error is not represented by a
Light Path diagnostics LED.
OVER
The power supplies are using more
SPEC
power than their maximum rating.
PS 1
When the LED is lit, the power supply
in bay 1 has failed. When the LED
flashes, an invalid power-supply
configuration has occurred.

the system event error log.
use the POST error log
management controller (BMC) obtains system error information and lights up
the appropriate Light Path LED.
Action
Check the system error log for information about the error.
Replace the failing power supply, or remove optional devices
from the server.
If the power supply has failed, call for service. If a configuration
error has occurred, make sure that the power supply is installed
correctly.
