2022 RDX: TQI of the Navigation System
Supersedes 21-034, dated October 19, 2021, to revise the information highlighted in yellow.

Navigation Manual - This manual is only available online. In the Service Information System, select MODEL and
YEAR from the drop-down menu. Enter keywords NAVI MANUAL, then select SEARCH.
Owner's Manual - You will find this manual in the Owner's Information Kit in the glovebox and the Service Information
System, select RDX and 2022 from the drop-down menu. Enter keywords OWNER'S MANUAL, then select
SEARCH.

    NAVIGATION SYSTEM CONTROLS Use the following controls to work the navigation system. For more information about them, see HOME Screen in the online navigation manual. VOICE CONTROL SYSTEM The navigation system features a voice control system that lets you work the navigation controls with just your voice. To interact with the system, use the Talk and Hang-up/Back buttons on the steering wheel and the microphones in the ceiling console.
  • Page 3 Since the navigation system interfaces with other vehicle systems, it is important that all of the systems are initialized. To initialize the navigation system, follow these steps: 3.1. Do the regular TQI of the vehicle. 3.2. Turn the ignition to ON. NOTE: You may see the factory InLine Diagnostics screen below, which means the audio-navigation unit is in the factory diagnostic mode.
  • Page 4 3.8. With the map screen shown, press and release the Talk button. You will hear the voice portal prompt followed by a beep. After the beep, say “Navigation." 3.9. After your command is accepted, wait for the beep and say “Find Place.” 3.10. After your command is accepted, wait for the beep and say “Acura dealer.” Page 4 of 6...

    3.11. After your command is accepted, wait for the beep and say the number of your dealership in the list of nearest dealers. 3.12. After your command is accepted, wait for the beep and say “Set as destination." 3.13. Follow the voice guidance back to your dealership. It should work even with the audio system turned off. 3.14.
  • Page 6 MAP COVERAGE AREAS The map database covers the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Canada. The map coverage for the U.S. contains accurately mapped (verified) metropolitan areas and less accurate (unverified) rural coverage. You do not need to change the navigation settings when relocating to or from these locations.
