Domestic Data to allow data communication only on domestic roaming systems.
International Voice to allow voice communication on international roaming
systems.
International Data to allow data communication on international roaming
systems.

Roaming Guards

Your phone alerts you when you are roaming off the Nationwide Sprint Network by requiring an
extra step before you can place or answer a call, or try to access data while roaming.
Note: Roaming Guards are turned on by default on your phone.
1. Press
2. Select Domestic or International.
3. Select Voice, Data, or Outgoing SMS by checking the check box. (Outgoing SMS
appears only when International is selected.)
For example, if you check Data under International, your phone alerts you when
you are using an international roaming system to access data service.
If you check Outgoing SMS under International, your phone alerts you when you
are using an international roaming system to send a text message.
Tip:
If you prefer not to use the Roaming Guards feature, check the Never Ask check box
while the alert dialog is displayed. You will not be notified of your roaming status until
you enable it again.
To place roaming calls with a roaming guard on:
1. From standby mode, dial the area code + the seven-digit number and press

To answer roaming calls with a roaming guard on:

To access data service with a roaming guard on:
► Read the message and press ROAM (left softkey).

Security Settings

Your phone offers a variety of security settings to manage the safety of your phone, phone
contents, and phone use by children, etc.

> Settings > Others > Roaming > Roaming Guards.
