About These Instructions

These instructions describe the physical installation of an RFID Kit
(Gen 2, 869/915 MHz) in the Intermec EasyCoder PM4i printer. For a
complete list of RFID commands and functionality, please refer to the
reference manual for your operating system (IPL or Fingerprint).
The internal RFID radio module operates on the UHF band at 869 or 915
MHz depending on region.

Printer Firmware Recommendations

To ensure complete functionality, your printer should be fitted with
either Intermec Fingerprint v8.70 (or later) or IPL v2.70 (or later).

Limitations

This device is intended for use in the EasyCoder PM4i
printer only.
The device is country/region specific and must be ordered
for the correct country/region. Use of this device in other
regions than shown on the device home page/test label may
violate applicable law.

The RFID Kit (Gen 2, 869 MHz) uses an EPCglobal
Gen 2-certified IM5 Module (86X MHz RFID
frequency band).
The RFID Kit (Gen 2, 915 MHz) uses an EPCglobal
Gen 2-certified IM5 Module (915 MHz RFID
frequency band).
