This slim and powerful
long life battery allows
you to record precious
moments with peace of
mind. By simply touching the
DATA button, the remaining battery and
recording time can be easily viewed, even
when the power is turned off. This allows you
to check the remaining power for the battery
and recording time before recording, so you
can prevent the battery from running out
during recording.
JVC's DVC includes patented and other proprietary
technology and is made to be used with the JVC Data
Battery and not with other batteries. JVC cannot guarantee
safety or performance of the camcorder when it is operated
by other batteries.

Why decide between recording
digital stills or video? Our dual
recording mode allows you to
record both at the same time. The
digital still function records and
stores (up to 640 x 480-pixel resolution) images on an SD/SDHC memory
card. The supplied software allows you to edit and organize your digital stills
on a PC.
Live Slow
(GR-D870 only)
This feature is extremely useful for playing back precious or hard-to-see
moments at a slow speed. Slow motion images are recorded with sound on
a DVC tape. The images are played back with the slow motion effect while
the sound is at normal speed.
NightAlive
NightAlive aids to record in low light situations
in full color with no distance limitations for
bright results. NightAlive will work in both still
and video modes.
*JVC's NightAlive combines digital slow shutter and image
processing technology. With rapidly moving subject, image
trails may be displayed.
High Quality Picture
3-Dimension Noise Reduction (3D NR)
3D NR automatically provides a more accurate
noise reduction. This is based on twice the
(GR-D870/D850)
visual information than conventional field-
based types. The video noise is reduced by
30% in low light for a 2dB improvement in the
signal-to-noise ratio. End result, you get a
bright picture with less noise, even in low light.
