IMPORTANT: BATTERY INFORMATION Insert batteries with the correct polarity (+ and -). • Do not mix old and new batteries. • Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable • batteries. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended • are to be used. Do not short-circuit the supply terminals. • Remove batteries during long periods of non-use. • Remove exhausted batteries from the toy. • Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in fire. • RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES: Remove rechargeable batteries from the toy before charging. • Rechargeable batteries are only to be charged under adult • supervision.     Make sure to empty the water out of all elements of the toy and to rinse them out before drying. • This toy can be operated in water only when fully assembled in accordance with the instructions. • This is not a lifesaving device. Do not leave your child unattended while this VTech Splash & Play Octopus unit is in use. ® • Never leave a child unattended or with an older child in the bathroom or in the bath, not even for one minute. •...
  • Page 8 ACTIVITIES 1. Press the On/Off Button to turn the unit On. You will hear a song and an introducing phrase. The light will flash with the sounds. 2. Press the Light Up Button to hear fun sounds and phrases, melodies and songs.

    5. If there is no input after approximately 15 seconds, reminding phrases will be played. If there is still no input after another 15 seconds, the unit will play a short ending tune and will go into sleep mode. The unit can be re-activated by pressing the Light Up Button or pulling down the shell.
