    Thank you for your purchase of 50 Cane. We hope that it proves to be valuable to your mobility. We look forward to 50 Cane serving you well for years to come. Before using your 50 Cane, it is important that you read and understand this user manual.
  • Page 5 Knowing your 50 Cane Device 1) Hold the 50 Cane in your hand. Ensure that the braille keys are positioned on the right side of the device. This is necessary for 50 Cane to function as intended. 2) There are three braille keys present on the right side of the device.
  • Page 6 ON/OFF 3) In the middle of the device on the left-hand side, there is a sliding ON/OFF switch. Use this to power the 50 Cane ON/OFF. ON/OFF Switch 4) On the left-hand side of the device, on the palm- grip, there is a USB-C charging port. Use a small object to open the flap.
  • Page 7 5) The 50 Cane solves the problem of night walking for you. The device emits a red flashing light in dark areas at night, allowing other people and cars to detect you and avoid hitting you. This light works automatically when the device is switched on.
  • Page 8 Assembling Your 50 Cane Extend the provided white-cane. At the top, you will find a threaded screw hole. 1) Connect the 50 Cane device to the top of the white-cane by joining the screw to the screw-hole on the white-cane, and turning in the clockwise direction.

    Your device is now ready to use. On a full charge, the 50 Cane battery can last for up to 8 hours. When the battery is low and requires charging, you will hear multiple repeating beeps.
  • Page 10 Every time you switch on the device, it resets to the default long-range mode. Long Range: When set to long-range, the 50 Cane will detect obstacles up to a distance of 2.8 meters forward, and a height of 1 meter upwards from the handle.
  • Page 11 The second braille key (letter “S”) is used to toggle the sound feedback on and off. By default, the 50 Cane’s sound feedback is set to ON. Every time you switch on the device, it resets to the default ON mode.
  • Page 12 Automatic Night Light When the 50 Cane detects that you are in a dark area (such as at night or in a dim corridor), it will emit a red flashing light to alert others to your presence. This feature cannot be switched off.
  • Page 13 All metallic parts, non-metallic parts, cables, and cardboard must be disposed of following prevailing environmental laws. When the 50 Cane device has reached the end of life for any reason, it should be recycled per the EU 2012/19/EU (WEEE) directive.

    1) Please do not open the device, as this can damage its electronic panel as well as void your warranty. 2) Treat the 50 Cane with care and be careful not to drop it on the ground. 3) Do not immerse your 50 Cane in water, and make sure to dry it properly after use in the rain.
