SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Troubleshooting Self-Contained Units

Never work on electrically powered equipment while it is energized! Electrical shock could
cause personal injury and/or death.
TROUBLE
1. Unit will not run

is too warm
3. Refrigerated section
too cold
4. Unit runs all the time
5. Noisy operation
6. Frost or ice on
evaporator coil

Blown fuse
Low voltage
Inoperative motor or
temperature control
Shelves overloaded;
blocked air flow
Thermostat set incorrectly
Pressure control set
incorrectly
Case fans not operating

Inadequate air circulation
Room temperature

Thermostat set incorrectly
Refrigerant charge low
Loose baffles
Tubing contacting cabinet
or other tubing

Dissipator not functioning

REMEDY
Replace fuse.
Check outlet with voltmeter. Voltage
should be 115V or 220V (±10%).
Check connections.
Make sure items do not block the
air flow.
Check setting.
Check setting.
Check terminal block connections.
Check setting.
Check setting.
Relocate cabinet or remove obstruc-
tion. Check installation requirements.
Ventilate room appropriately.
Reset thermostat.
Have unit serviced by a qualified
service technician.
Tighten or brace baffles.
Move tubing.
Level cabinet.
Check electrical conections. Have
unit serviced by a qualified service
technician.
Clear drain.
Check electrical supply. Check
float assembly.
