13.7 FUEL TANK REPLACEMENT

See Figure 47.
Remove Fuel Tank
1. Shut off engine. Engage parking brake. Remove the
ignition key.
2. Place unit in the service position (see "Service
Position" on page 3).
WARNING: FUEL VAPORS are explosive
and flammable. Store fuel in proper
containers. Clean up any spills immediately.
Handle fuel in well ventilated areas.
3. Drain gasoline from tank into a suitable, clean
container.
NOTE: Fuel tank capacity is approximately two gallons.
4. Remove fuel line assembly from tank. Disconnect
gas line if necessary.
Keep assembly clean until ready to be installed in
new tank.
5. Remove bolt from bottom of tank. This bolt anchors
the tank and left tire cover to the fuel tank bracket.
6. Remove bolts from side of tank. Bolts secure tank to
fuel tank bracket.
Support tank when removing bolts.
7. Remove tank from bracket.
Install Fuel Tank
Install new tank in reverse order from removal.
