Tape Connectivity Options
SaS, SCSI and Fibre Channel Cable kits.
HP SaS and SCSI Cable kits are used to connect internal tape drives, external tape drives, tape autoloaders and tape libraries to server hosts.
to determine compatibility of a particular combination of SaS or SCSI cable, HBa and backup device, refer to www.hp.com/go/productbulletin.
Cabling may not be required for the selected HP backup devices as they often include appropriate cabling. You can confirm included cables by
looking up the kit contents for the backup device or the ProLiant Server at www.hp.com/go/productbulletin.
Fibre Channel Cable kits are supplied to oM2 or oM3 specification. the two cable types are physically interchangeable with oM3 supporting
longer distances. You can find supported distances by reviewing the 8gbps SaN Switch QuickSpecs at www.hp.com/go/productbulletin.
