The base enclosure removal procedures in this section apply to
Compaq Presario V4000 models. The spare part number
information listed in the following table applies to both
HP Pavilion dv4000 and Compaq Presario V4000 models.
Base Enclosure Spare Part Number Information
For use with full-featured HP Pavilion dv4000 models
For use with defeatured HP Pavilion dv4000 models
For use with Compaq Presario V4000 models
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
and remove the following components:
a. Hard drive
b. Switch cover
c. Keyboard
d. Display assembly
2. Turn the computer right-side up with the front toward you.
