1. END OF THE GUIDE BAR may be placed at the
height about 35 cm.
NON-MANUAL CHAIN BRAKE
The non-manual chain brake stops the operation of the
saw chain in such a manner that the kickback action
produced at the end of the guide bar non-manually
actuates the chain brake.
To make sure that the non-manual chain brake operates
properly, proceed as follows:
1) Stop the engine of the chain saw.
2) Operate the front and rear handles with hands (grip
them lightly), so that the guide bar may be placed at
the height of about 35 cm as shown in Fig.

AUTOMATISCHE KETTENBREMSE
Die automatische Kettenbremse stoppt den Betrieb der
Kettensäge derart, dass die am Ende der Kettenschiene
erzeugte Rückprallwirkung automatisch die
Kettenbremse betätigt.
Um sicherzustellen, dass die automatische
Kettenbremse richtig funktioniert, auf folgende Weise
vorgehen:
1) Den Kettensägemotor abstellen.
2) Den vorderen und hinteren Handgriff mit den Händen
so halten, dass die Kettenschiene auf einer Höhe von
ca. 35 cm gehalten wird, wie in der Abbildung
gezeigt.

FRENO CATENA AUTOMATICO
Il freno catena automatico è concepito in modo tale, che
la reazione che si verifica all'estremità della lama guida
a seguito di un contraccolpo sia sufficiente a farlo
entrare in azione del tutto automaticamente, arrestando
la rotazione della catena.
Per assicuravi che il freno catena automatico funzioni
correttamente, procedete come segue:
1) Spegnete il motore della motosega.
2) Afferrate le impugnature anteriore e posteriore con le
mani, senza stringerle, in modo da tenere la lama
guida alla distanza di circa 35 cm da terra, come
illustrato in figura.

2. REAR HANDLE should be gripped lightly with the
right handle.
3) Softly detach the left hand from the front handle, and
touch the end of the guide bar against the wood or
the like placed below so that the machine receives an
impact.
(* at this time the rear handle should be gripped
lightly with right hand).
4) The impact is transferred to the brake lever, which
actuates the chain brake.
(PRECAUTION)
When checking the operation of the non-manual
chain brake, use a soft surface substance like wood
to provide the impact so the saw chain is not
damaged.
2. Hinteren Handgriff mit der rechten Hand nur locker
umfassen.
3) Den vorderen Handgriff mit der linken Hand langsam
loslassen. Das Ende der Kettenschiene schlägt auf
den Untergrund auf. Die Maschine erhält dadurch
einen Stoß.
(*Dabei den hinteren Handgriff mit der rechten Hand
nur leicht anfassen.)
4) Dieser Stoß wird zum Bremshebel übertragen und
betätigt die Kettenbremse.
(VORSICHTSMAßNAHME)
Bei Überprüfung der Funktion der automatischen
Kettenbremse ein Material mit weicher Oberfläche,
wie z. B. Holz einsetzen, damit die Sägekette nicht
beschädigt wird.
2. L'IMPUGNATURA POSTERIORE va tenuta
leggermente con la mano destra.
3) Allentate la presa della mano sinistra
dall'impugnatura anteriore, lasciando che il puntale
della lama guida vada a cadere contro la tavola in
legno (o materiale simile), in modo che la macchina
riceva un colpo. In questa fase l'impugnatura
posteriore deve essere tenuta leggermente con la
mano destra.
4) Il colpo viene trasmesso alla leva del freno, che attiva
il freno catena.
(AVVERTENZA)
Quando controllate il funzionamento del freno catena
automatico, fate urtare il puntale della lama guida
contro un materiale dalla superficie morbida come il
legno, in modo da non danneggiare la catena.
