All five fingers must make contact within 200 ms.

If the user performs a "shrinking" gesture with all five fingers, this will lock the machine (i.e., the user will be
returned to the secure desktop).

The initial area around the fingers needs to be at least 100 mm by 100 mm.

If the area around the five fingers shrinks by at least 50%, the Lock gesture is triggered.

If any fingers are removed, the gesture is not performed.

All further input is ignored until all contacts have been removed.

Installing a Pen Tether

To prevent dropping or losing your pen, you should
attach it to your system using the pen tether that is
included with the system.
To attach the pen tether to your Tablet PC, perform the
following steps:

Attach the end of the pen tether with the smaller loop to
your pen. To do so, push the end of the tether through
the hole in the pen, then thread the opposite end of the
tether through the loop.

Attach the end of the pen tether with the larger loop to
the attachment point on your tablet. To do so, insert the
end of the pen tether through the attachment point, then
feed the pen through the large loop in the tether.
