Using the Built-in
WWAN Module
Note:
The V5
accommodates vari-
ous 3.5G WWAN
modules (HSDPA /
UMTS / EDGE/
GPRS / GSM) and
advanced modules.
Please check the
model of your V5 to
identify the module
that is installed.
The optional built-in WWAN module uses cellular carriers
for transmission. It enables you to connect your Flybook V5
to the Internet or use the V5 to make phone calls.
Before using the module, you must apply for an access
account, and get a SIM card and dialing profile from your
wireless WAN service provider. The SIM card acts as an
access permission key for your account.
