ADJUSTMENT STEP 5

Test Cable Tension Monitor

If your cable tension monitor has been activated the
Indicator Light will blink 9 times. See (Figure 1) page 16.
ADJUSTMENT STEP 6
To Open the Door Manually
The door should be fully closed if possible. Pull down on
the emergency release handle until a click noise is heard
from the unit and lift the door manually. To reconnect the
door to the operator, pull down the emergency release
handle straight down a second time until a click noise is
heard from the unit. The door will reconnect on the next
UP or DOWN operation.
Test the emergency release:
• Make sure the door is closed.
• Pull the emergency release handle. The door should
then be able to be opened manually.
• Return the door to the closed position.
• Pull the emergency handle a second time.
• Reconnect the door to the operator.
To prevent possible SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH from a falling
door:
• If possible, use emergency release handle to disengage door
ONLY when door is CLOSED. Weak or broken springs or
unbalanced door could result in an open door falling rapidly
and/or unexpectedly.
• NEVER use emergency release handle unless doorway is
clear of persons and obstructions.
