Introduction
The ELAN Premium Video over IP (VoIP) platform distributes HDMI video over a 1GB Network switch using visually lossless technology. The EL-4K-
VIP-ACM can be completely configured directly from the ELAN configurator, or the web interface can be used for configuration and independent
routing of IR, RS-232, USB / KVM, Audio, and Video. ELAN drivers built into each product's firmware simplify product installation and negate the
need for an understanding of complex network infrastructures. The EL-4K-VIP-ACM Advanced Control Module is designed to work with the ELAN
Home System and also features third-party control using TCP / IP, RS-232 and IR.

RS-232 control port – Connect to a third party control device for

MCU firmware update switch - Used to place ACM product into

firmware update mode
Reset - Short press resets the EL-4K-VIP-ACM, long press (10

seconds) factory defaults the EL-4K-VIP-ACM
IO Level switch - Reserved for future use

IO Level Phoenix - Reserved for future use.

Video LAN (PoE) - Connect to the network switch that the ELAN

VIP components are connected to
Control LAN port - Connect to existing network that a third party

control system resides on. The Control LAN port is used for TCP/
IP control of the VIP system. This port does not support PoE

The ELAN EL-4K-VIP-ACM is shipped with the following default IP address for the Control Port (connected to your main network) and Video Port
(connected to your VIP system network):

After connecting to the main network, use the ELAN configurator to discover and set a static IP address. After which you can configure the system
right from the configurator or use the web interface at the now set IP address.

NOTE: The default IP address of the video port should not be changed as it is specifically configured to work with ELAN VIP TX/RX products.
