Camera
• F ace detection: Set the device to recognise people's faces and help you take photos of
them.
• I SO: Select an ISO value. This controls camera light sensitivity. It is measured in film-
camera equivalents. Low values are for stationary or brightly-lit objects. Higher values are
for fast-moving or poorly-lit objects.
• M etering modes: Select a metering method. This determines how light values are
calculated. Center-weighted measures background light in the centre of the scene. Spot
measures the light value at a specific location. Matrix averages the entire scene.
• T ap to take pics: Tap the image on the preview screen to take photos.
• S elective focus: Use this to take a photo with an out-of-focus effect.
• V ideo size: Select a resolution. Use higher resolution for higher quality. But it takes up
more memory.
• R ecording mode: Change the recording mode.
• V ideo stabilization: Activate or deactivate anti-shake. Anti-shake helps focus when the
camera is moving.
• A udio zoom: Make the sound from the zoomed subject louder while recording.
• E ffects: Select among various effects that are available.
• F lash: Activate or deactivate the flash.
• T imer: Use this for delayed-time shots.
• H DR (Rich tone): Use this to improve the contrast ratio in photos. HDR enhances the
details in areas affected by too much or too little light.
• L ocation tags: Attach a GPS location tag to the photo.
• T o improve GPS signals, avoid shooting in locations where the signal may be
obstructed, such as between buildings or in low-lying areas, or in poor weather
conditions.
• Y our location may appear on your photos when you upload them to the Internet.
To avoid this, deactivate the GPS tag setting.
