Initial setup
Thissectionwillguideyouthroughtheunit'sinitialsettingwhich
includesselectingalanguageforyouron-screenmenuandautoprogram, 
whichautomaticallyscansandmemorizesviewablechannels.
Before you begin:
Makesuretheunitisconnectedtoantennaorcable.

 Aftermakingallthenecessaryconnections,  press toTurnOnthe
unit.
• ItmaytakeafewmomentstoTurnOntheunitforthefirsttime.
• Initial setupmenuappearsautomaticallyaftertheunitisTurned
On.

 Use▲▼toselecttheon-screenlanguagefromthechoices
(English/Español/Français)ontherightsideoftheTVscreen,  then
pressOK.

 Use▲▼toselectAntennaforTVchannelsorCableforCATV
channels,  thenpressOK.

Make sure the antenna is connected to ''ANTENNA IN'' jack.
Select your signal source.

 – WhenAntennaisselected,  theTVdetectsantennasignals.  It
searchesforDTVandAnalogTVchannelsavailableinyourarea.
 – WhenCableisselected,  theTVdetectssignalssuppliedbycable.  It
searchesforDTV,  AnalogTVandCablechannelsavailableinyour
area.
• Autoprogramwillbegin.

Please wait while the system is scanning for channels.
Auto programming may take more than 20 minutes to
complete.

 Use▲▼toselectthedesiredlocationsetting,  thenpressOK.
Initial setup
Location Home is recommended for normal home use.
In the Retail Store mode, all settings are fixed.
Select
• SelectRetail,  theunitwillbesetupwithpredefinedsettingfor
retaildisplays. 
• SelectHome,  theunitissettomaximizetheenergyefficiency
forhomesettinganditcanbeadjustedthroughachoiceof
pictureandsoundqualityaccordingtoyourpreference.  Usethis
settingtoremovetheE-stickerifvisiblefromthedisplay.

 WhenyouselectHome,  pressOKtobeginSettings assistant.

Settings assistant helps you customize picture settings.
You will see a series of test pictures where the right side and
left side differ. Select the side that is most pleasing to you
with the Left/ Right keys.

 PressÍ orÆ 3timestoselectthesideofthepicturesthatisthe
mostpleasingtoyou,  thenpressOK.

1/3 Select the picture setting that you prefer.

 PressOKtofinishSettings assistant.

• Whentheinitialsetupiscompleted,  thelowestmemorized
channelwiththeconfirmationmessageofthelocationsetting
willbedisplayedontheTVscreen.
• YoumustsetHomeinstep4.  Otherwise,  PictureandSound
settingsyouadjustedwillnotbememorizedaftertheunitgoes
intoStandbymode.
