HDTV Formats Most HDTVs include YPbPr connectors for component video inputs, and your Explorer 3170HD Set-Top includes a YPbPr cable for these inputs. However, some HDTVs only have RGB inputs. - Page 16 Programming the Mode Keys The mode keys are the four buttons arched across the top of the remote. These buttons are labeled AUX, VCR, TV, and CBL and let you specify the device you want to control when you are using the remote. For example, to turn on your HDTV, you would press TV and then press POWER.

- Page 25 Setting Up Channel Control By default, the channel keys on your remote (CH+, CH-, digits 0-9 and Last) allow you to change channels on the set- top, the TV, or a VCR, depending on the current mode. You can disable or enable channel control for the TV or VCR mode.

Remove the covering on the adhesive strip from the loop tape, which is attached to the hook fastener on the IR Blaster.
