SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION
(WEB-BASED)
This section describes web-based configuration. If you wish to use
serial control via COM1, proceed to
In the steps that follow, you will log into the WiYZ Gateway's Web
interface and begin to set the basic operating parameters.
NOTE: Consult your System Administrator if you are unsure of
the proper configuration settings for your network.
1. Connect computer's Ethernet cable to the Gateway's LAN
connector. Open a web browser and navigate to
https://192.168.1.1. (You might need to change the PC's IP
address to 192.168.1.x).
Default username: admin
Default password: admin
2. Using the Configuration>>Time & Identity screen, update
the Gateway's device information and date/time settings.
3. Configuration of the Gateway will be unique for every installa-
tion. Using the built-in menu system, set up and configure the
Gateway and Remote units per system requirements. Setup
Wizards are provided to simplify configuration for common
arrangements.

SOFTWARE CONFIGURATION
(SERIAL-BASED)
Serial-based configuration of the WiYZ Gateway is primarily limited
to basic configuration settings. For general setup and configuration
use web-based configuration as described in
In the steps below, you will log into the Gateway's console menu
system and begin to set the basic operating parameters.
NOTE: Consult your System Administrator if you are unsure of
the proper configuration settings for your network.
1. Attach computer's serial cable to COM1 (115200 bps, 8N1).
2. Start a terminal program such as HyperTerminal.
3. Press the Enter key to obtain the login prompt.
Default username: admin
Default password: admin
4. Enter the ipconfig command to view current networking
setup.
5. Configuration of the network interfaces uses the ipconfig
command—enter ipconfig help to view syntax and options.
6. Type help to see other available commands and
<valid command> help for syntax and options on a particular
command.

IN-SERVICE OPERATION
In-service operation of the WiYZ Gateway is completely automatic.
The only operator actions required are to apply power and check
the front panel LEDs for proper indications as described
