Home Connect settings
Adapt Home Connect to your needs.
You will find the Home Connect settings
in the basic settings of your appliance.
Which settings the display shows
depends on whether Home Connect is
installed and whether the appliance is
connected to the home network.
Remote Start
You can start the appliance with your
mobile terminal device via the Home
Connect app.
Tip:If you are in the "Basic Settings"
→ Page 36 If you set this function to
"rc2", the function is permanently
activated and you can start the device
at any time with a mobile terminal
device.
Remote Start
If you have set "rc1" in the basic
settings of this function, you activate
the function on your device.
Requirements
†The device is connected to the WLAN
home network connected.
†The appliance is connected to the Home Con-
net app connected.

"rc1".

Remote diagnosis
Customer service can access your
appliance via remote diagnosis if you
contact customer service with the
appropriate request, if your appliance
is connected to the Home Connect
server and if the remote diagnosis is
available in the country in which you
use the appliance .

software update
With this function you can update the
software of the device, e.g. for
optimizations, correction of errors or
for security-relevant updates.
The Home Connect app informs you
about available software updates.
Protection of personal data
Please observe the information
regarding the protection of personal
data.
When your appliance is connected to a
home network connected to the
Internet for the first time, it transmits
the following categories of data to the
Home Connect server (first
registration):
†Unambiguous identification of the device
ready (consisting of device keys
and the MAC address of the built-
in
Wi-Fi communication module).
