Programming Instructions for ZTE Imperial™

Initial Activation / Programming Instructions

1. Insert SIM card into SIM card slot per the diagram on the device cling

2. Provision the customer account in CARES

3. Wait approximately 2 minutes and power the device on

4. The ZTE Imperial will program automatically

5. This process will take approximately 5 to 7 minutes

6. If programming fails make one attempt to restart the device

1. From the keypad dial ##DATA# (##3282#)

2. Enter SPC code (000000)

3. Select NAM from the menu

4. Select edit

5. Enter new MDN/MSID

6. Click menu key to invoke option to Save or Cancel.

7. Click Save

8. Exit the menu by pressing return key until return to the idle screen.

9. Repeat steps 1, 2 and 3 to re-enter NAM menu

10. Select view to make sure new MDN/MSID are entered correctly

Data Clearing Instructions for the ZTE Imperial

1. Select Applications

2. Select Settings

3. Select Backup and Reset

4. Select Factory Data Reset

5. Select Reset

Data Transfer Instructions for the

1. Connect source device

2. Select Source Vendor

3. Select Source Model

4. Select Source memory options (phonebook, content)

5. Select Target Vendor: N9101

6. Select Target Model:

7. Please follow the steps

1. To enable Developer options, go to Menu (apps) -> Settings (More)

-> About, and tap the "Build number" 7 times until they are

enabled, on an Android 4.0 and above, go to Menu (apps)

Page 2 3. Press OK,and you can see Master Clear setting 4. Select Master clear button could erase all data from your phone. Android External Master clear for the ZTE Imperial – if user cannot access menu / UI 1. Pull battery.

Once this is complete, device will go back to Android system recovery screen. 9. “Reboot system now” will be highlighted by default, there simply pressing power key will select it and device will reboot as normal.
