INTRODUCTION
This bulletin covers the pre-delivery inspection (PDI) of the 2017 Accord Hybrid. It includes these procedures:
1.
Fuel the Vehicle
2.
Install the Fuses
3.
Remove the Interior Protective Coverings
4.
Install the Floor Mats
5.
Check the 12-Volt Battery
6.
Install the Body Plugs
7.
Install the Front License Plate Holder
8.
Install the Front Splash Guards (If Equipped)

Set the Tire Pressures

Start the TPMS Calibration Process
11.
Check for the Tire Repair Kit
To do a PDI on a model with a navigation system, be sure to complete S/B 16-039, 2017 Accord Hybrid: PDI of the
Navigation System.

  • Page 2 PDI PROCEDURES Before Starting Review these items: • Perfect Delivery documents, especially the information on battery maintenance and tire pressures • Checklist in the PDI and Final Delivery Checklist booklet Make sure you record the PDI on the appropriate pages of the checklist. The PDI is not done until this bulletin and the checklist are both complete.
  • Page 3 After those fuses are installed, the MIL will come on with DTC P0562 (battery condition monitor module power source circuit unexpected voltage) and DTC P0562 (generator motor control module system low voltage). These DTCs can be cleared only with the HDS. You cannot clear them by disconnecting the 12-volt battery. To clear these DTCs, follow these steps: 1.
  • Page 4 Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Raised to Full-Height) Install the Body Plugs Install the four body plugs as shown. These plugs are part of the noise-reduction package and play a big part in reducing road noise. NOTE: The driver’s side is shown; the passenger’s side is similar. Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Half-Height) Install the Front License Plate Holder If state regulations require the use of a front license plate, install the front license plate holder.
  • Page 5 Install the Front Splash Guards (If Equipped) Install the two front splash guards as shown. NOTE: The driver’s side is shown; the passenger’s side is similar. Vehicle Exterior (Vehicle Lowered to Ground) Set the Tire Pressures Set the tire pressures according to the driver’s doorjamb label. Make sure the tires are normalized (at ambient temperature) when checking and setting the pressures.
  • Page 6 3. Select TPMS Calibration. 4. Select Calibrate. The message Calibration Started appears, then goes off after a few seconds. Once calibration is started, it completes on its own. Check for the Tire Repair Kit This model does not come with a spare tire. Make sure the tire repair kit is in place under the trunk floor lid. Page 6 of 13...
  • Page 7 Under-Hood (Engine Idling) Do the PCM Idle Learn Procedure To ensure a steady engine idle, do the PCM idle learn procedure after installing the No. 21 BACKUP (10 A) fuse. Keep in mind on this model, the engine does not run while the vehicle is parked. To do this procedure while parked, you must first enter a special Maintenance Mode.
  • Page 8 Vehicle Interior Install the Shift Lock Release Cover Install the shift lock release cover as shown. Be sure to install it with the longer tab in front. Installing it backwards will damage the cover. Check the Remote Power System Start (If Equipped) Starting the System NOTE: Make sure all doors, the hood, and the trunk are closed before remotely starting the system.

Models Without Navigation Without Touch Screen Turn the ignition to ON, then follow these steps: 1. Press the SETTINGS button. 2. Turn the selector knob to select System Setting, then press the knob to enter your selection. 3.
